DHAN DHAN SRI GURU NANAK DEV JI
“Sat Guru Nanak paragtia miti dhund jag chanan hoa, jeeon kar suraj niklia tare shipe andher paloa” i.e. THE BIRTH OF GURU NANAK LIGHTENED THE WHOLE WORLD AND FINISHED THE MIST JUST LIKE ON THE RISE OF THE SUN ALL STARS DISAPEARS. This quote perfectly indicate the Birth of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji in this world in the year 1469. Because at that time all the so called religions were not telling the whole truth of life but rather spreading misgivings to fulfill their vested interests and thus looting the common man and deviding them to fight with each other on the name of the religions and false rituals. The Rulers of the land are also doing all the misdeeds and forcing the people to adopt their religions otherwise slottering them to death like animals. Due to the false propaganda of the religious leaders, the commonman was unable to understand what is right or what is wrong. The Hindus were doing MUNDAN ( shaving of hairs of heads), putting JANEO (wearing a thread around body) and worshipping the manmade statues of paintings of the Hindu Devi-devtas for getting MOKSH (Mukti). The Muslims were CIRCUMSIZING (Sunnat) of the newly born childs and advising them to PRAY FIVE TIMES ( Five Namajan) every day to the WEST SIDE only, since the ALLAH (God) lives only in the west. Who do not do it, is called KAFIR (betrayer) and have no right to live in this world hence every one should be either Muslim or be eliminated. This thought was enforced by Muslim Rulers on the commonman during their rules time to time. The Chirtians were also doing CIRCUMSIZING like Muslims and BAPTISING ( making pious) the new born childs and advising them to pray only to the CHIRST ( Eesaa Maseeh) in the CHURCH only. Likewise BODHI & JAINS were also preaching their teachings in their ownway and making people to believe that their way of life is best in the world. No religion or faith was giving any respect or importance to WOMEN FOLKS. She was being treated as a servent of MEN, a machine to give birth to the childs and entertain the males etc. She was also considered a sin to the humanity and a dirty item full of illdeeds. Such a pity situation was of the Womens in this world and their was none to listen to her.
SRI GURU NANAK DEV JI when observed all the above said difficult situations, then he thought to find out the solutions of all these problems and to save the humanity from this self distruction. He choose the quite place at the bank of VAEIN NADI and prayed THE GOD for 3 days for HIS HELP to take up the gigantic job of preaching the entire world of TRUE PATH OF LIFE. Guru Nanak ji, first of all went to BHAI LALO JI at AIMNABAD for consultations and to start of his mission. He made FOUR SORTIES to the maximum lengths in the Four different Directions of the Globe. It was a very rare and strange event at that time that someone travel hundred thousand miles on foot and reach out to all heads, preachers & places of all existing faiths to discuss with them the TRUE WAY OF LIFE . He gave the message of GOD ( THE ALMIGHTY) to them that the total UNIVERSE, STARS, PLANETS, SKIES AND SPACES had been created by the God. HE is the only ONE (EK-ONKAR) to make or distroy His entire creation and no one other can do any thing in this regard. All the living creatures & vegitation have His soul in them without which no one can exist. Therefore THE GOD IS THE ONLY MALE and rest every thing is His female and we have come in this world to meet Him as a final destination. Therefore to meet Him and to get His kindness we should always sing songs of His Greatness and pray for His shelter. We should always remember Him by His SIMRAN and should not do any thing wrong with anyone rather should help all the needy. Since every thing is His creation, then there is no one is big or small, hence no one should hate anyone or be enemy of others. No one should force any one to agree to anyone’s thoughts. Similarly Women are also an equal partner with Men to keep running this humanity as per the wishes of the God. The women should be respected the most and should take part in every espect of life. She should not be forced to burn herself to death on the pire of her husband thus to end the evil of SATI. Guru Nanak ji taught that the God is not out side or anywhere else but it is inside of every living creature, where as all other religions said God is in 7 Skies, 14 Skies, in Devi-Devta’s statues in Mandirs, on the Hills, Rivers, Western side, Masjids etc. We are deviding the society by making Mundan, Sunnat or Baptising and then creating unnecessary controversies and hate against each other. We should always pray one and only one GOD and none else. We should not leave our famlies or homes for prayers but do the same while doing our daily jobs and other family responsibilities. We should follow a true path of life to earn the livelihood and help the needly i.e. selfless sewa. By following the teachings of our Great Gurus as written in the SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI, we can fulfill the perpose of our life and coming in this world.
